Orchardcanvasv is a family-run local business based in Eldoret, Kenya, offering three interconnected offerings: professional services, scheduled appointment consultations, and a curated range of products suited to Rift Valley households and small enterprises. We operate from 14 Oloo Street in central Eldoret, a location we have held since 2014. In practical terms, a client may come to us for a service job, book a consultation to plan a project, or simply purchase a product from our in-store selection. Most clients use more than one of these offerings over time, which is how we prefer it — a long relationship is more valuable to us than a single transaction. We serve individual households, sole traders, small offices, and community institutions across Eldoret and within a 25-kilometre radius of the town centre. Beyond that boundary, our ability to maintain the quality standard we set for ourselves begins to diminish, and we are transparent about that limit.
How we work and what drives us
The business was founded in 2014 by a family with roots in the Rift Valley and a belief that attentive, unhurried service could hold its own against larger, faster competitors. That belief has been tested and confirmed over ten years. We have completed well over five hundred distinct client engagements without taking on a single investor or expanding beyond what our team can personally supervise. Today the core team numbers seven people, two of whom were hired locally from the Eldoret area and trained on the job. Our working method is deliberately slow in the right places — we do not rush assessments, we do not skip the written agreement step, and we do not hand off clients to people who do not know their history with us. The indigo-accented interior of our Oloo Street premises reflects the calm, considered atmosphere we try to maintain inside the business as well. We take on fewer jobs than we could theoretically handle, because quality of attention matters more to us than volume of turnover. We are honest about what can go wrong: some outcomes depend on factors outside our control — material lead times, client availability for sign-off, third-party infrastructure in Eldoret — and we flag those dependencies early rather than pretend they do not exist.
